There are millions and millions of different types of insects out there. However, one of the more common types of insects – that can cause issues ranging from a minor annoyance to a severe need for hospitalization – is the wasp.

Bees and wasps are often mistaken for each other, since they typically have similar coloring, and they both can make a “buzzing” sound as they orbit around you. One key difference, though, is that if you are stung by a bee, the bee will die. Wasps, though, can sting a victim multiple times.

Wasps love to build their nests in hidden locations, even inside your home’s siding or walls. If you identify a wasp nest on your property, it may be best to have a professional remove it. However, if you decide to take matters into your own hands, you could remove it yourself. It may be a good idea to do this at night, though, when wasps are not active.
