Over the past few months, Personal Protective Equipment, or PPE, has been in the news over and over again. In this COVID-19 environment, many have begun to mentally associate PPE with a face mask, or a face shield, or safety glasses. While these items can do much to protect their wearers from disease, they aren’t the only types of PPE that can help save your life.
Especially if you’re the type to do your own projects around the house, we cannot overemphasize the importance of wearing proper PPE. PPE is not just for construction workers or frontline medical personnel. Whoever you are, while you’re working on projects, wearing the basics, like gloves, work boots, safety glasses, and even a hard hat can do a lot to keep you all in one piece. Though you may feel that they’re inconvenient, they are a lot more convenient than spending time in the hospital.
