Everyone is familiar with the dust and dirt that settles on their furniture, and you likely understand how removing that dust contributes to your family’s overall health. For many industrial businesses, dust and related particulates generated by their everyday production can pose a much more significant threat to the health of their employees and the local environment.

For that reason, many industrial businesses have what’s called a baghouse. Essentially, it’s a giant vacuum cleaner that pulls contaminated air into itself, and then filters the air through a series of bags, which remove the harmful particulates. This technology has been in use on commercial properties and farms for over 50 years. Much like a vacuum cleaner, these filters need to be cleaned regularly. Some baghouses have self-cleaning capabilities, which can be very helpful. Whether they do or not, baghouses should be inspected regularly to make sure that they’re still working efficiently and properly.
